Drugstore Makeup And Clothing Haul | Pastelista

Hello everyone!
How are we all? Today I decided to do a haul seeing as recently I visited Liverpool One Shopping Centre, and bought a few bits and bobs. Can I just say, if you live in Liverpool, I envy you! Everyone seems so happy and nobody looked glum, it's also so beautiful and there's such few people, it's amazing! Anyway, before I start rambling about my love for Liverpool, I might as well start rambling about my recent, bought products. Enjoy!

Bleached Jeans

Bleached Jeans|New Look-£16.99
So the first thing I bought was these gorgeous pair of bleached jeans from New Look! I desperately needed a pair of jeans and have been eyeing up jeans and shorts, plus I'm always wearing jeans that are skinny so these were perfect. I shop in the Petite section of New Look because I can always find the perfect fit.

Appearance:
For me, a size 6 was the perfect fit so I was really pleased. At first, I was quite worried it would be hard to match tops with the jeans but it was so much easier then I thought. In the picture above, I am wearing them with a black blazer and a plain, white vest top, accessorised with a silver necklace. The outfit went together quite well so I was relived with that.
At the bottoms of the jeans you can wear them rolled up or you can just wear them as normal, which is optional and it doesn't really matter. I was really happy with this purchase and the quality of the jeans but I have only wore them once so I yet have more wear out of them. But so far, I am very pleased!

Disney Bambi Slipper Socks

Slipper Socks|Primark-£4.00
These slippers are adorable and I couldn't resist picking them up, the patterned hearts on the side are gorgeous and the little Bambi heads make me swoon!

These are also going to be an autumn/winter staple, the burgundy colour reminds me of autumn so these will be worn to death through these upcoming months! The fluffy inside of the slippers look so comfortable and cosy, can you imagine snuggling up with these babies?
Another advantage about these are the grips on the bottom which ensures there isn't going to be any slipping or sliding across the floor. The only thing I was hesitant about was the sizes, I got size 3-5 so they are a tiny bit big but I'll grow into them and they can still be worn and for £4.00 you can't go wrong!

Real Techniques Foundation Brush

Real Techniques Foundation Brush|Superdrug-£8.99
Wow, wow and wow! This brush is just amazing, of course, I couldn't not use it so that explains the still dirty bristles....*pauses*..... Anyway, when I passed this on the shelf in all it's glory, I had to buy it! For £8.99 in Superdrug the price was fair and as I had the chance I just took it. This brush, I knew was going to be a winner anyways, I mean, just look it's by Sam & Nic Chapman!

Like any other high-end brand brush the bristles are the softest ever and I could feel them for days on end (already regretting saying that.) The brush is angled so makes the whole application 10x easier and there are so many different techniques to use to achieve the professional look. It's safe to say, I'll be using this for months on end!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Kate Moss Lipstick-28

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick|Superdrug-£5.49
I swear I'm the last one to buy these lipsticks, I'm always last on the make-up bandwagon! I decided to get the shade 28 because I was hunting for a nude, everyday shade. The packaging is so grown-up yet simple, and it's always nice to have pretty packaging on display.

The colour of this lipstick is a gorgeous pale pink close to coral, so it's the usual colour I would opt for. This colour is never going to get old and I'm definitely going to buy one of the reds from the range as they look beautiful too!

Maybelliene The Colossal Go Extreme! Volum' Mascara

Maybelliene Go Extreme Mascara|Superdrug-£6.99
I am so excited to try this little beauty, the name in itself excites me and the packaging is so bright and bold, I think that's part of the reason why I bought it! When I looked at the back of the mascara it showed me the exciting brush which really intrigued me...

The brush is just so big! It looks like it's gonna give me big lashes so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that this will be my miracle mascara! Anyways, the applicator looks amazing, the packaging is impressive so let's hope I have the same view on the actual appearance.

Sleek Blush In Life's A Peach

Sleek Blush 'Life's A Peach'|Superdrug-£4.49
I love Sleek blushes and every single one I have had so far have been to a high standard and a good quality. This time round I wanted more of a different, everyday colour that would look good against my skin complexion and just look impressive against my skin tone. This time, I also wanted little shimmer because I always end up going for the pretty looking, shimmery shades which sometimes look a bit too much. Instead of staying with my usual pinky tones I went for a peachy colour.

The colour I think is so beautiful, it's the perfect peach shade and will definitely be a lot different for me, I think the blush swatched on my skin will look a lot better then the usual pink so I am ecstatic to try this!
Of course, as usual the condition is perfect and definitely high quality, I love their little compact mirrors included, so useful for on-the-go touch-ups. A full review will be posted soon.

So that is it! I hope you liked this post and feel free to comment some recommendations of what you would like to read! Also, make sure to give me your haul blogposts and I will read as much as possible. Enjoy the rest of your holidays!

'Rimmel Wake Me Up' Review | Pastelista

   Hello everybody!
Recently, I went on a quick shopping trip and couldn't resist picking up the Rimmel  Wake Me Up Concealer and Foundation. Obviously, that led me into buying them and excitedly looking at my Superdrug bag all the way home (I was excited, okay?) I am probably last on the bandwagon here, in fact I am last but I've still decided to do a review for all you people to hopefully, enjoy. So sit back, read along and enjoy!

The presentation is okay, just your standard foundation and concealer. Nothing shone out at me but I'm not going to be expecting lots of different colours and fancy 3D writing, as if haha! It's very pratical though and informs you about everything.

Foundation Review

The first thing I noticed when opening the glass bottle was the large, orange pump at the top of the bottle. When I used this pump on my first application I was pleased as punch, it gave out the right amount of foundation and ensured I wasn't going to look like a tangerine (nice sight for you to imagine there.) Unfortuantly, being a clumsy idiot like me meant something was going to go wrong and on second application, it did. Long story short, I pulled the lid off the foundation bottle way too hard and my pump broke so I now have to apply it with much difficulty. Slight tip for you, be gentle or at least, don't act like your in a tug of war competition because it will go completely wrong!
Anyways, the shade I bought was Ivory (100) which turned out a bit lighter then expected but with a bit of bronzer I can now wear it on a daily basis. Phew. The consistency is neither runny or thick so it is basically perfect and rubs in so easily. I was so pleased and application took me not even 10 minutes, usually application takes me forever. Being a liquid foundation, it is going to take longer then others but if you're in a rush this is still a very good foundation. Once applied, you can't feel it on your face so it feels rather light and not at all cakey. The title of 'Wake Me Up' fits perfectly well because I look brightened up and a lot more refreshed. The coverage is the same as an average foundation, I wouldn't say it was brilliant but it is still good for a day to day basis. I also think the smell is gorgeous, it's not set out to be but it has this peachy smell which leaves my face smelling delicious (is that good or bad? I can't quite decide!) Overall, I love this foundation and the look it gives, it really brightens me up and I couldn't be more pleased. The price was very good, £5.99 but it was reduced from £8.99 in Superdrug. If I was going to be picky I would say the lasting time of this is not fantastic but it does last for a fair bit but I would prefer it to last for the whole day. That's not a big problem though and it will not put me off repurchasing!

Concealer

Concealers have always been a big problem for me, the application on the ones I have tried have been horrific and there have been too many times where I have either ended up looking like Caspar the ghost or an Oompaloompa! Picking up this concealer was quite a big worry for me, I mean, the applicator was worrying, I was worried it would be scratchy! Thankfully, this time that was not the case and I bravely picked up this concealer. I am so glad I did!
First impressions when screwing off the lid were all good, the little brush-like applicator impressed me and immediately, I was more excited then before. When I started applying the concealer the brush was so handy! It had the right amount I needed for my blemishes and dark circles so I didn't have to worry about over-doing it. The shape of the applicator is so impressive too! For my bags it's match made in heaven and it fits the circles and my eye shape perfectly.
Once all the concealer was rubbed in, I looked so much brighter and just..alive? My only problem with the whole look was the coverage, it isn't what I'd call impressive. If you were looking for a concealer that would not show the appearance of dark circles, blemishes and blackheads then maybe this one is not the right purchase but if you just want to change the appearance of them this one is the one! Even though, the coverage wasn't great I was so pleased, it matched my skin tone perfectly and It felt like I was embracing my dark circles. Very impressive! The price is so fair, for £5.49 not bad at all, and with the sales in Superdrug most of the time you get them on sale or offer!

Altogether, I love these products and I use both daily for my everyday make-up routine, together they're amazing and I highly recommend both products! Let me know your opinions on the Rimmel Wake Me Up Range and be sure to follow for more blogposts! Love you all                                                                          ❤️Emily❤️
